Here's a quick sewing project that will have you snuggled up in a warm fleece blanket in about 1hour.

You will be making a fleece blanket with a fabric trim.

You will need:

3 yards of your favorite fleece (@ 60" x 45")
- the dimensions don't have to be exact... they can be whatever you'd like them to be
Complementary Trim fabric (strip that is 8 1/4" wide by the perimeter of the flannel)
- you may need to piece your fabric strips together to achieve the length you need. Simply sew the strips together with a 1/4" seam and press the seams open
Sharp fabric scissors
Straight edge ruler
Thread to match the flannel

Step 1. Lay your flannel wrong side up

Step 2. Fold one side edge of the fabric strip in 1" and press

Step 3. Starting with the folded end of the fabric strip, lay the fabric strip right side down in the middle of one of the flannel edges... aligning the raw edges and pin.

Step 4. Sew the fabric to the flannel with a 1/4" seam. Stop when you get 1/4" from the next edge.
